  Went clothes shopping on a Sunday afternoon in January. The displays were a mess.

  Went looking for HBC COLLECTION the selection was very disorganized and limited. Stood around looking for a sales associate for 10 min. I eventually lined up at checkout to get a associate it wasn't helpful at all. Walked over to the collection area where I searched hi and low all I was told that's all we have and left. Sorry I took up 2 minutes of the associates time. Everyone was at the checkout on the second floor then noticed all the associates on the main floor when leaving. I get it, 3 days before Xmas you would think staffing and stock would be available. Going online to shop! Waste of time onsite at this location.

  Customer service is lackluster at best. Looking for a new watch I circled the watch and jewellery counters for quite some time and nobody would look my direction because they might have actually had to help me. Gave up on that! No staff present at any dressing rooms at this particular store. So you just help yourself to the mess. The most important dressing room in the bra and lingerie section of the store, has no staff available and if you ask for assistant you’re pushed off to go to the cash to ask for assistance. Really? OK. Cashier then checks you out and neglects to remove the security ink locks and you have to come back to the store and the have another employee rudely deal with the situation. Ugh, the oldest retailers in Canada and they still can’t get their customer service together. What’s up HBC?

  I’m 60 now but growing up my grandmother would take us shopping at the bay, and so I have been shopping at the bay for 50 yrs, and still my favourite. :)

  Every single rack and shelf had unfolded clothes just thrown everywhere. The fitting rooms were full of piles of pins and clothes.

  In this day of big retailers closing their brick and mortar stores it was a pleasant surprise to find a store with full shelves and a wide selection. Check out was fast with courteous staff. Kudos Hudson's Bay.

  The staff that were there were helpful and polite, but they need way more of them on weekends.
