  Awful experience. No compassion all business. Do not respect families initial wishes. Tried to take advantage of seniors on limited budgets to upsell from cremation to expensive casket and a menu of extra charges. Don't respond to email questions to question billing. Beware

  This funeral home is one of the best in toronto and the staff go the extra mile to comfort those going through tragic circumstances. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family

  Sunny was my funeral director and he was amazing. He was very attentive to the guests and explained everything throughly. He is very patient and very kind. But on the other hand, my family had Loretta help plan our funeral and she was the opposite. She is very demanding and is rude. A couple of days before the funeral, during the planning process she explained to my mom about obtaining the Canada Pension and Survivor's Benefit and said that my mom needed original documents to apply. After further research online I found out that we actuallly didn't need original copies of documentation but can send in certified photocopies of the documents along with the form. She gave my family the wrong information. On the day of the funeral (which is a very emotional time) she walked up to my mom and I and asked if we brought the original documents in. I politely declined that we didn't need to worry about those things during the funeral but thought it was rude for her to even ask during such a time. Loretta is very blunt with her words, and acts like she knows it all.

  I am pleased and thankful for all the staff and the services at Ogden funeral home. Sunny was very professional and knowledgeable. He was patient and friendly in helping our family getting through this difficult time where we know nothing about funerals and he guided us through the whole way. Everything happened very suddenly but thank God everything went smoothly and worry free through this week.
