  We ordered 6 shrimp online from shrimp fever, and all 6 were dead on arrival. The package arrived on its estimated delivery day and we were at home to receive it. The water was ice cold and so was the "heat pack". While i understand their no refund for DOA shrimp, these shrimp obviously were not packaged in a way that would keep them alive for the expected delivery date. We wouldnt have even minded waiting for the shipment at a later date had the store felt conditions were unfavourable for the shrimp to survive, but we never received such communication from the company. For reference for others who are debating shipping shrimp from this company, our shipment only had to be shipped from Scarborough to our location just outside of London, ON. Also, upon inspection of the shrimp one of them was missing his entire tail, and it was not in the packaging with him. Feels great to pour $30 of shrimp down the toilet.

  The staff know their stuff, friendly and attentive. Their tanks and livestock are in good condition. If it’s reasonable and they can get it, it looks like they will order it for you. The prices are about average for Toronto pricing. Lovely little place.

  Hands down the best place to get rabbit snails! I've recommended them to other rabbit snails lovers in the past and have seen many people recommend them which speaks volumes about their quality and customer service. Tommy is a wealth of knowledge, and I appreciate his transparency because it shows he cares about his customers providing quality care instead of just making a sale. As someone relatively new to the hobby, it's nice to have someone guide you as sometimes the internet can provide very misleading information. They're also very accommodating and have ordered a shipment for me in the past when I missed out on a sale.

  Hard to find livestock, food and specialized plants and equipment. Knowledgeable staff. What more to say. Oh yes, great customer service. I recently picked up a Ghost Crayfish and the colours were vibrant. Heading back soon to look at more stock.

  Placed an order during a Canadian January for Red Cherry Shrimp. They arrived on the West Coast just a couple of days later. I was worried that with such cold weather, there could be a problem. They arrived in a very well insulated package with a large pocket warmer to keep them being frozen. Not one was DOA! I plan on purchasing more from Shrimp Fever.
